Bell & Associates has been engaged to help our client find their next Training & Development Manager.  The Training and Development Manager will oversee all training activities for the Wealth Management and Financial Services employees. They will be responsible for identifying needs, develop curriculum, create material and facilitate on a variety of topics. Types of training may include but are not limited to; industry overview, department onboarding, systems training, professional development, and personal development. This person will work closely with management to prioritize needs and determine the best way to support the team through training.  This person reports to the VP of Operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with leadership to plan and implement on-going and one-time training events

  • Develop and maintain training materials and work tools

  • Research training opportunities, software, platforms, conferences, seminars or presenters to meet team needs

  • Assess training needs through surveys, focus groups or consulting with management

  • Manage new hire training/onboarding process ensuring all new employees receive initial education regarding Wealth Management and Financial Services

  • Keep current with learning and development methods, trends and alter training as needed

  • Act as a resource to department leadership on their specific training needs

  • Develop curriculum and training as needed for topics that impact the business

  • Maintain training records of all employees

  • Facilitate training for advisors when applicable

  • Maintain relationships with vendors and outside facilitators

  • Other and related duties as assigned

     

    Requirements

  • Previous RIA, Broker Dealer, or investment industry experience required

  • 5 plus years experience within training development/delivery role in the financial service industry - Additional experience may substitute for some educational requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Education, Curriculum Design, or relevant experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Google apps, eLearning platforms, social media platforms, Windows, PowerPoint, Word and Excel or similar programs preferred

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to produce and deliver quality training programs

  • Ambition, motivation, creativity, high energy, and ability to understand many areas of expertise

  • The training area is one of constant change. This position must be able to react positively to these developments and help lead the way forward to include new developments in training targeted to both new and existing employees
