Sr. Payroll Coordinator (Contract) *International Company*


$25-$35 per hour based on level of experience and interim fit

Bell & Associates, Inc. has been engaged to find our client an interim Sr. Payroll Coordinator for an systems implementation over the next 6-12 months.  This is a great opportunity to join an international company while showcasing your Payroll abilities.  For the right candidate potential long term opportunities could arise depending on future needs

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sr. Payroll Coordinator to join an established organization located in West Johnson County.  Experience in payroll deductions, management of employee data in a cloud based payroll system, payroll reporting, payroll inquiry/resolution is a must for client consideration.  If you thrive in team-oriented environments while being a utility player this may be the opportunity for you to showcase your payroll expertise.  

Professional requirements:

  • Partner with many internal departments as well as outside vendors to ensure all payroll processes align with the corporate business strategy

  • Experience with payroll system implementation, Oracle experience preferred

  • Assist with managing employee data relating to compensation and new hires including time & attendance, commissions, allowances, bonuses, and benefit deductions

  • Oversight and preparation of payroll reporting including General Ledger export, 3rd party check distribution, check disbursement, ACH s and assembling payroll reports for tax returns

  • Serves as a customer service agent for employee inquiries relating to pay, payroll deductions, benefits, and time & attendance as relating to employee pay

  • Handles all areas of 401k to include reconciliation/submission of contributions, audits and record keeping

  • Partners with the Payroll Manager on areas of process improvement, changing current SOP s, SOX controls and as a subject matter expert for IT replated process improvement projects


Required Skills:

  • Above average written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor s degree strongly preferred, along with 7+ years payroll experience

Working knowledge of garnishments, levies and wage assignments.

  • Ability to read and analyze legal documents and financial reports in relation to payroll processing
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures.
  • Advanced Excel including pivot tables and v-lookups
  • FPC and/or CPP experience desired
  • Experience with Crystal Reports or similar system
  • General understanding of HR processes relating to payroll
