       Do you find yourself pondering the job market, wondering if there is a better home for you?  Maybe you are happy with your current situation, but that doesn t mean you shouldn t explore ways to increase available time, career advancements, and overall quality of life.  Bell & Associates, Inc. helps people every day make changes that better their lives and lives of the people around them.  We are working with one of our bests clients to add another integral person to their staff; Shipping Manager.  The Shipping Manager is responsible for supervising the shipping of all finished goods.  The Shipping Manager supervises fork truck drivers and manages day to day operations in the Shipping Department. 




  • Supervises all shipping of product.

  • Manages Assistant Shipping Manager and Shipping Assistant, as well as a team of forklift drivers.

  • Ensures accuracy of all shipments and proper documentation including accurate bill of ladings.

  • Ensures all product is efficiently and safely loaded on trucks.

  • Communicates with truck drivers to determine dock assignments and accurate paperwork.

  • Communicates with truck line dispatchers to order trucks as needed.

  • Communicates with Shipping Assistant to coordinate bill of ladings, dock times, and inventory reports.

  • Reports inventory counts and shipping summaries to Divisional Manager.

  • Supervises warehouse space utilization with Divisional Manager.

  • Supervises and trains fork truck drivers.

  • Reports maintenance issues on fork trucks or docks to Divisional Manager.

  • Creates bill of ladings when necessary.

  • Oversees inventory and location of finished goods in warehouse.

  • Manages shipping load plans and communicates needs to Assistant Shipping Manager, Inventory Control Manager, Director of Operations, and Divisional Manager in daily meetings.

  • Maintains accurate list in office of truck locations in docks and progress of daily shipping.

  • Maintains regular, consistent, and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adheres to relevant health and safety procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.




  • Basic reading, writing and math skills.

  • Highschool/GED diploma required with an Associate s Degree or higher preferred.

  • String written and verbal communication skills.

  • Computer literate to create bill of ladings and read/interpret tables, in addition to learn new technologies.

  • Ability to handle multiple, complex priorities and balance the needs of each according to business impact.

  • Attention to detail for accurate shipping and inventories.
