Bell & Associates, Inc. has been engaged to recruit our client's next Plant Manager.  This is a growing plant that will triple in revenue over the next year due to recently awarded business.  The company has grown 21% last year and is forecasted to do similar this year.  This is a great opportunity for a continuous improvement-minded, operational leader to make an impact with a small, growing company.  

 

The Plant Manager will take on the responsibility of overseeing plant activities in order to meet business objectives. The Plant Manager will be accountable for all aspects of plant performance and will ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that s consistent with quality requirements. He or she will also delegate authority to key Managers in production, manage all functions involved, and direct and coordinate operations for the processing plant. The Plant Manager reports to the President.

 

Responsibilities

The Plant Manager will steer the plant in process improvement, optimization, sustainability, profitability, quality, and HSE.

  • Manage daily operations in our plant facility

  • Ensure safety and efficiency of the facility  

  • Test and monitor plant processes

  • Remain in compliance with facility quality standards and all HSE guidelines

  • Prepare, analyze and issue production and performance reports

  • Control costs to achieve company budget goals

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program

  • Devise and review specifications for products or processes

  • Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives

  • Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures

  • Hire and Terminate Employees

  • Train and Mentor Employees

  • Provide tools required to perform tasks

     

    Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree. Degree preferably in Engineering

  • Proven Experience in Manufacturing

  • Conscientious and Responsible

  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach

  • Outstanding communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards

  • Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods

  • Aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants

  • Able to explain training material to our operating staff
