Patient Access Specialist (CONTRACT, potential contract to hire)

$14-$17 is the starting salary hours vary (are all daytime), M-F

  • 6am to 2: 30pm

  • 7am to 3: 30pm

  • 8am to 4: 30pm

  • 9am to 5: 30pm

Bell & Associates, Inc. Has been engaged to find our client s next Patient Access Specialist.  This is a great opportunity to join a KC based company that leads their industry while looking after its employees.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Administrative or Patient Access Specialist to join an established organization centrally located close to Liberty, MO.  This Patient Access Specialist will be charged with multiple job functions in a patient facing role including registration, pre-registration and scheduling of patients.  If you thrive in team-oriented environments while being a utility player this may be the opportunity for you.  

Position functions:

  • Determine and ensures insurance eligibility of patients

  • Discuss patient liability

  • Provide financial counseling, payment options, financial assistance, etc.

  • Conduct patient interviews within HIPPA to gather demographics of patients

  • General customer service


Professional requirements:

  • 2+ years administrative experience preferably in a medical environment, with an Associates or higher strongly preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Microsoft Office knowledge

  • Detail oriented, ability to work independently and in team environments

  • Exceptional attendance coupled with a can-do attitude required
