  • Manage the Maintenance department, ensure safety of employees and equipment, and ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.

  • Develops, implements and manages a sustainable preventative and predictive maintenance program.

  • Maintains safety, quality and manufacturing effectiveness through daily troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to: implementation of new processes, procedures and manufacturing of new product.

  • Manage the maintenance material budget, order materials, manage the storeroom and monitor consignment inventory.

  • Manage the maintenance staff to ensure that plant efficiency and optimization projects are meeting schedule, budget and specifications.

  • Safety of people, equipment and other maintenance related issues

  • Development and career path of Maintenance Team Members.  

  • Administer Plant Policies and Procedures within the Maintenance Department  

  • Manage time appropriately and interface with internal and external resources to prioritize and resolve maintenance issues in an efficient manner.

  • Utilize Continuous Improvement techniques to analyze work systems and identify ways to deduce the cost requirements of the business.

  • Other duties as assigned.




  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred

  • 5-7 years experience in managing projects in a manufacturing environment.

  • 3-7 years experience in a manufacturing maintenance environmental.

  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills in mechanical pneumatic electrical, thermal and hydraulic environment

  • Working knowledge of vibration analysis and thermal imaging.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in pulp and paper environment, especially maintenance, process controls and information systems.

  • Preference to individuals with preventative maintenance and reliability backgrounds.
