Our client has engaged Bell & Associates to help them find their next Finance Director.  The primary responsibility of the Finance Director will be the administrative oversight of the Center's Financial Department.  Specific duties include:

  • Directing the effective implementation of the Center's fiscal policies and operations

  • Preparing and monitoring Center budget

  • Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities

  • Ensuring timely filing of statistical, financial and other reports required for reimbursement and accountability to external and internal authorities, as well as efficient management of Center resources

  • Developing, implementing, and controlling Center internal controls

  • Hiring, orientation, supervision, and evaluation of financial staff positions

  • Completing all paperwork associated with the financial, clinical, legal, or regulatory management of the case or BNC's operations in a timely and accurate manner

  • Assisting with the evolution of an effective, efficient preventative program of services.

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as circumstances warrant.

 

Accountability

The Finance Director will be directly accountable to the Chief Executive Officer or his/her designee.  The Chief Executive Officer or his/her designee will, no less than annually, complete a performance evaluation in compliance with personnel policies.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree  in business administration, accounting or similar experience  is required
  • Master s degree in accounting or business administration is preferred
  • Prior  experience in fiscal planning and management, budgeting development analysis, and cost analysis

  • Must be able to achieve within one s first 6 months of employment a working competency in the management and use of the Center s electronic medical record (EMR) software as demonstrated by timely and accurate documentation of the clinical record

  • Demonstrated administrative, leadership, and supervisory abilities

  • An ability to work independently and in cooperation with others

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound independent judgment

  • Exceptional organizational skills relative to the management of this position's priorities and in designing efficient progress of services

  • Reliable transportation and a valid, unrestricted driver s license

  • Prior computer experience and strong computer fluency

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in all circumstances

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with diverse publics

  • Flexibility in assigned working hours

  • A commitment to interdisciplinary and community mental health center approaches
