Bell & Associates, Inc. has been engaged to help our client find their next CFO. This P/E backed, international manufacturer is positioned for explosive growth both organically and through M&A. They are looking for a strategic finance executive to partner with the CEO and executive team. The Chief Financial Officer is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. This position manages the finance, accounting and information technology functions of the organization. The incumbent is responsible for all personnel management, including hiring, firing, task assignment and performance management.
Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting strategic and tactical initiatives
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
Develop financial and tax strategies
Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
Manage the finance, accounting and information technology operations
Oversee the company's transaction processing systems (e.g., Quick Books)
Oversee the issuance of financial information
Report financial results to the Board of Directors
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
Construct and monitor reliable control systems
Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors
Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
Arrange for debt and equity financing
Participate in conference calls with the investment community
Maintain banking relationships
Represent the company with investment bankers and investors
Assist business development in expanding product offerings.
Special projects as assigned to support business requirements in the organization or to promote personal growth.
Keep current on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance with statutes, regulations and adopt best industry practices.
Execute any other reasonable duty requested by management.
Master s Degree in Business Administration or Finance
Bachelor s Degree Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in related industries
Minimum of 5 years of experience in key leadership positions within related industries
Experience in partnering with an executive team
High level of written and oral communications skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
PC literacy Microsoft Office products
Travel can be expected domestically and internationally, at times for extended durations.
U.S. Citizenship required to support government contracts.
